About
I was diagnosed with MS when I was 29. My father has it and so, although it was the most depressing time of my life, it was not entirely unexpected. I have had many neurological symptoms including double vision, vertigo, balance issues, stuttering, loss of sensation in my hands and feet and so on. These abated or became manageable once I started Avonex by Biogen in Cambridge Massachusetts. Ironic, in my early twenties I sold Biogen their office supplies while working for Monroe Stationers. I guess their thanks was to develop a drug that made my life so much better than it might have been. I have been a sales manager, an archivist, an English teacher and now VP of Sales and Marketing for AffordableSearch.com, a website devoted to helping people of low and moderate income find a place to live. I’ve been lucky; my entire life has been mission driven. Not everyone can say that. The father of two and husband of a wonderful woman from Malden, Massachetts, I live in Rochester NY and get by one day at a time. Soon I will become an MS advocate, working with Biogen and telling my story to people who have MS. I always look forward to helping others.

Hey, Vlado! It must be 25 years since I last saw you! Life happens, and we both moved out of the old neighborhood, and it’s so easy to lose touch.
Very sorry to hear that you’ve been diagnosed with MS, but glad to hear that the new treatments are helping.
Saw your picture in the paper a couple of days ago, which is what prompted me to go hunting on the web for you. Can’t seem to turn up an email address for you, so commenting in your blog to catch your attention is the next best thing. Although it doesn’t look like you’ve posted anything since December of last year- I hope this gets noticed eventually!
We have to get together and catch up on the past quarter-century soon. Email me or give me a call- I’m in the phone book.
