OK, I’m not really keeping up as much as I should be, but then again I haven’t had a lot of feedback (save a few loyal friends) and that makes it a little difficult to justify the effort. But I am still plugging away, slowly but surely.
A new year and that much closer to a fresh grave. I’m just kidding…I plan to be cremated. Kidding, again. Take a joke already. I’m still young, relatively. I still have most of my teeth. And most everything still works. Still having some trouble with sensation in my hands, but hey, doesn’t everybody?
New Year’s Eve was fun, without any overboard action. A mellow party at a neighbor’s house, conversations, horns blowing and those annoying turny things with the noise. I know, English teacher, good vocabulary but no idea what they are called. Watched the ball drop. Drank a little wine. Chris was OK with that. Came home around 1am. Chris couldn’t go because her eyes bothered her from a long bout of cunjunctivitis. Funny I still have my old college ID card for some reason and in it I am forever immortalized with a case of pink-eye. How atrractive is that? On the positive front, at that time I still had most of my hair. On my head I mean.
So what to do with the new year? I know I still have some work to finish for college and probably get started on my masters thesis. Anyone want to give me a hand with that. I have to work hard at building up the website, www.AffordableSearch.com. Things are going a little slow there and though we are committed to eventual success, we need some breaks to fall our way. Anyone with a tv station willing to supply free advertising, would love to hear from you. It now becomes a little scary the things I am willing to say in a publicly accessible forum. Of course who wouldn’t be willing to drop their pants three hours into the Mohave desert without a motor vehicle in sight. No risk there. I wish there was a risk of someone reading this blog. I would do anything to get some interaction here. Well almost anything. I mean, I wouldn’t watch the Apprentice or anything like that.
Seriously though, If by some miracle you found me because you are looking for a place with cheap rent go to AffordableSearch for a list of affordable apartment communities. You will find something if you are will to look. Many of the apartments on the site are really nice. I’ve seen the pictures. People with low income will find a place to live somewhere if they just give us a chance. This idea makes so much sense and I am so determined to hel people find a home.
